There are really only 3 things to consider when selling
a home or piece of property:
1. Location, Location, Location!
You can't move your home
in order to sell it, but you can improve the appearance and
point out the best features of
its location. After all, there are few locations that are
not desirable to someone. 2. Price and Condition
There is a direct correlation between
price and condition when selling real property. You'll want
to make sure they
are balanced properly for your area in order to bring a sale
in your time frame. 3. Marketing:
Many people think this is where the Realtors
come in. Actually, the first 2 things that sell houses, Location
and Price/Condition,
are part of number 3 . . . Marketing! Marketing a product
whose average price is $150,000 isn't a matter of simply
placing an ad in the newspaper, putting up a sign and making
sure it is in the Multiple Listing Service. It takes experience
and expertise to market, promote and merchandise a home.
